Just Wondering

Do moms of just daughters ever have black pens left in pockets?

Since bathroom humor is the highest form for boys, what do moms of girls enjoy?

Boys decorate gingerbread men with matchbox car tire tracks, what do girls decorate cookies with?

Now I know why my Dad’s mom (a mom of just boys) was so excited to get granddaughters. What are moms of at least one each, a boy and girl, excited to get?

Where is a mom of boys suppose to learn about jock straps, athletes foot, pilonidal sinus, and whiskers?

And for old moms of just boys now men, what do we do with this hard won information??

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Moms of Just Girls. Mother’s Day was invented by a DAUGHTER.

But one might note: Mother's Day was not invented by a daughter-in-law.

(Nah nah n-nah nah! I'm getting to babysit a sleeping baby girl while you have to put up with your relatives.)

Oh he's wicked. Teasing about watching a cute baby. Oh that's low.
To answer you...yes we generally have black, blue, pink, purple, red, green, and every other color under the rainbow type pens left in pockets.
Girls exaggerate gingerbread cookies with sparkly sprinkles with red hots and more sparkly stuff to boot. It's like gingerbread princess by the time they are done.
Happy Mother's Day to you Joyce. (even though it is late) I hope your day was enjoyable.

Thank you, Hula Doula. It was a very different Mother's Day with my own Mother in town for James' commissioning and graduation. And then to get a whole day of playing with our granddaughter---I can't think of anything else I'd rather do! Pictures just don't capture the cute little dance she does with her shoulders. (sixteen months old)And she would jabber at us. Too cute.

Hula about covered the experience of having boys and girls. But you really haven't lived until you have TWO boys. Because they have someone else to brainstorm with and always have an accomplice -- and sometimes a patsy!

I would love to just sit at your feet and soak up some of your "boy" wisdom. Because this is HARD WORK. At least you have grandbabies as pay-off, right?!

My Mom says that "grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your teenagers."
